    A community Forum is being held for MYOI participants and community members. There will be a youth panel and a 90 minute film will be shown called From Place to Place, this film follows two young adults on an unlikely journey as they set out to change the system that raised them.  After the film we are having a panel of professionals and young adults that will be able to answer questions on Young Adult Voluntary Foster Care, Independent Living, Foster Care, MYOI  and the child welfare system.

    Dear parents, guardians, and teachers, We are so pleased to be able to invite you to the release of the 826michigan OMNIBUS V. The event will take place Saturday, September 28 at 11am at Rackham Auditorium to kick-off the State of the Book. The State of the Book is a community literary event celebrating Michigan writing and writers of all ages. We will have a short presentation, followed by the unveiling, readings, and a book signing. The event is free and open to the public—invite as many family members and friends as you would like! Every student featured in the OMNIBUS V will receive one copy and every class featured will receive one classroom copy. Additional copies will be available for purchase both the day of the event at Rackham and afterward at 826michigan for $10. The official invitation is attached to this email in a PDF.
